Now, do we expect you all to be able to turn yourselves into pretzels? Not likely, but it’s nice to have something to aspire to. The old adage is true, if you don’t use it you loose it. So we believe that moving your body in very specific ways to maintain your flexibility is one of the most important things you can do for your body, your mind and your spirit. Not to mention that you’ll have more energy to do other things in life that bring you joy.
I hate stretching! Some people love it, but I actually hate it. Yoga is not stretching for me, it is the process of following my breathing in and out and while I do that, I find a way to let go of tension that I am holding in a certain area of my body. Muscle pain often occurs because of guarding and shortened muscles, yoga helps me to let that tension go and find balance in the system again.
Synergy Healthcare provides all the props you need for your Yoga practice. Just show up in your comfortable clothing and enjoy! Most students come at least one time per week and some practice additionally at home.
